Managing Partner
Taylor Bologna is an effective and creative trial attorney, who knows that attention to detail and careful analysis often carry the day in any litigation. Taylor was born and raised in Gretna, Louisiana, where he still lives with his wife and two children. He attended Jesuit High School, obtained his bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University, and received his juris doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law. He is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts.
Taylor focuses his practice on maritime law and general civil litigation. He has routinely represented business owners, injured individuals, and vessel owners in all phases of the legal process, including trial. Having worked for both plaintiffs and defendants not only gives Taylor a tactical advantage when parties reach an impasse in litigation, but it also allows him to work efficiently and professionally with opposing counsel as he advocates for his clients’ best interests.
Taylor has handled countless claims arising under the Jones Act, LHWCA, and general maritime law. He also has experience handling cases involving vessel collisions/allisions, vessel arrests, cargo disputes, contribution and indemnity disputes, and various other commercial matters. Beyond maritime law, Taylor maintains a broad civil practice, representing businesses in contract negotiations, business torts, and other high-stakes litigation. Known for a meticulous approach and unwavering advocacy, Taylor is committed to protecting his clients’ interests both in and outside of the courtroom.
Prior to and after completing his law degree, Taylor had the opportunity to work in several different fields, across a variety of industries. These experiences included working as an oilfield roustabout; serving as part of the in-house legal department of an international marine transportation company; and, recently, working as an attorney at one of the largest and oldest regional law firms in the Gulf South. Taylor draws upon those experiences and employs a unique approach to problem solving every day in his practice.
Taylor was selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in every year from 2021 to 2025 in the areas of Transportation/Maritime Law, Personal Injury, and Business Litigation, a distinction reserved for only 2.5% of attorneys.
